In response to concerns expressed by race hosts, and to ensure the long-term health of Sport Air Racing League events, we’re making a few important changes to how individual race registrations work.
👉 Registration fees will now be collected at the time you register for a race.
⏰ Early Registration Discount
Register more than 2 weeks before race day and receive a 20% discount on the race fee. Early registration helps race hosts plan accurately for everything from meals to awards.
❗ Cancellation & Refund Policy
If a racer or host needs to cancel:
- 50% of the registration fee will be refunded to the racer
- 50% will go to the race host to help cover expenses already incurred
💡 Why these changes?
Race hosts often commit to significant costs well in advance, and historically they’ve been exposed to financial losses when registrations come in late, racers withdraw, or weather forces a race cancellation. These updates are designed to:
- Encourage early registration
- Reduce financial risk for hosts
- Make it easier to attract and retain new race hosts
